Planted Cities Conference

The Brief:

Planted Community are an organisation committed to sustainable design of human infrastructure. They were set up to run events and educational media to ‘improve the environment through the lens of nature-based design’. For their first ‘Planted Cities’ conference in King’s Cross, they were eager to partner with a technical specialist who could ensure the event was run as sustainably as possible. As co-creators and sole distributors of SolCell renewable site energy generators, PYTCH were the best team for the job.

The Solution:

As the event was scheduled to take place outside, a SolCell RG solar generator was the perfect solution, paired with an array of 280w solar panels to provide entirely renewable energy for the event. PYTCH designed the audio visual package to be as efficient as possible, light on energy use while still being powerful enough to provide clear audio coverage for the audience. As our technicians are trained in a cross-section of skills, we were able to provide a sound technician who was also trained in solar energy and temporary power, meaning they could be on hand to provide support with the system whilst also ensuring excellent audio provision. The final piece of the puzzle came when the Planted team realised that they needed a small stage for the event, which we were able to step in and provide at the eleventh hour.
