Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known online as IShowSpeed, is an American YouTuber, rapper, and online streamer. He is best known for his variety livestreams, in which he primarily plays video games, including FIFA, Fortnite, Minecraft and Roblox. PYTCH were contacted to privide support with the video side of things including a large video wall, switching and a 5 camera package.
The Brief
PYTCH were tasked with providing an 8m video wall along with a 5 camera system to film and also stream the event to the millions of followers on youtube and Twitch. We were also asked to provide all of the streaming equipment including PS5, Gaming computer, monitors, stream decks, headsets, green screen, webcams and many other elements. The event was to a sold out crown hosted by Indigo at the O2
The Solution
PYTCH provided 160 panels of DigiLED HRI 3.9mm video wall controlled by Novastar 4k processors. The video wall was one of many outputs from the ATEM Production Studio 4K 4 M/E which was handling all the switching between cameras, custom supersources and gaming machines. Heading up the camera front was our Blackmagic URSA Broadcast cameras with a mixture of Canon HJ lenses. We also provided Sennheiser 6000 series radio mics, 300 series IEM and Pioneer DJ equipment.
The outcome
The show was a resounding success, members of the crowd won PS5's, Monitors and many other items by challening IShowSpeed on stage. The live stream had over 65,000 people watching and we streamed for over 2.5 hours.
