Specialist Container Conversions

Using the iconic ISO shipping container we can build an incredible array of solutions for your project. Bars, offices, temporary structures and even restaurants can be constructed from these low-cost, high-strength movable containers.

The history of the ISO container goes back over fifty years when the standardised design was used for shipping goods throughout the world on boats, by road and by rail. The ISO container has standard design features and huge load capacity which means it is ideal for modular construction.

Our unique skills perfectly positions us to design, build, transport and manage even the most complex and demanding shipping container builds. These skills include:

  • Creative design - this is where every project starts and where we consider audience, experience, design narrative and architectural language
  • CAD design - this is the process of “building” the converted container in a computer to see what fits, how it fits, what materials we need and to get client approval
  • Structural steel work to make new openings, doors, windows, secondary structural elements, stairs and even balconies. Indeed we even used an array of shipping containers to hold up our airliner, PYTCHAir!
  • Three phase power - we can expertly installed three phase power for all appliances to the highest electrical standards. This includes consumer units and all necessary safety devices to ensure compliance with regulations - including isolation, earth spikes, RCBOs, RCD and current measurement
  • Lighting for function and style - using variable colour temperature lighting to match circadian rhythms our lighting installations give the best possible experience
  • Renewable power - for some applications we are able to make a container “off grid” using solar panels and batteries
  • Audio - being a leading audio production company we can effortlessly install advance audio solutions - from a small background PA right through to making a container a festival stage!
  • Video systems - the video systems we use for live events can translate to shipping container conversions - whether that is just a few TVs for signage or a large LED video wall
  • Fit out - our set department can manufacture furniture and fit-outs to meet precise requirements
  • Print - our large format printing enables us to create signage as needed

We can either take custom commissions where we sell you the end product, or we can develop container solutions to meet a specific need as part of a longer-term rental deal.

The best bit is that we do all of this in-house, at the PYTCH Campus at Skyline Park.
