Spar 60th Anniversary Celebration

The Brief:

When Spar wanted to give back to their employees and stakeholders and create an amazing 60th anniversary celebration event, PYTCH were tasked with the technical and creative challenge of bringing their vision to life in physical form. The theme was ‘festival’ and the venue was Manchester Central Convention Complex; a huge space that would need filling with entertainment for thousands of guests.

The Solution:

The venue was transformed into a music festival, with multiple stages, fake grass, and props. PYTCH created a circular ‘main stage’ to echo the Spar logo, with circular screens and a stunning light show. The space was set out for conference content in the daytime and a stunning celebration in the evening, so transitions had to take place smoothly and coherently. PYTCH produced a second stage space with a complete festival vibe including neon lettering and floral decorations. Other highlights included a mirrored ‘time tunnel’ taking guests back through Spar’s history, and a laser show which mapped and revealed a huge Spar logo in the sky!
